We got word about the new artificial reef coming to Palm Beach County- The Danny McCauley Memorial Reef. We’ve been in touch with our contacts down there and will be posting details as they come available. As of now, the deployment is scheduled for the end of January, 2013. There is more information in an article on our news page.

It seems like the value of artificial reefs is being recognized. Orange Beach is a nice place and you can almost see Florida from there LOL. This will give Florida Panhandle divers another option.

We got a report today that the Castor wreck off Boynton Beach has been affected by hurricane Sandy. The stern section has been turned on it’s starboard side.

A few of us are thinking of planning a Mohawk dive on October 28th. Anybody interested let me know. If we get enough people we can charter the whole boat.

It’s good that local governments are realizing the value of artificial reef programs like this. Hopefully it will lead to more investments elsewhere.
