We got word about the new artificial reef coming to Palm Beach County- The Danny McCauley Memorial Reef. We’ve been in touch with our contacts down there and will be posting details as they come available. As of now, the deployment is scheduled for the end of January, 2013. There is more information in an article on our news page.

Our friends from Karst Underwater Research and ADM Foundation recently explored Phantom Spring in Texas. They confirmed it is the deepest known underwater cave in the U.S. Here is a video of the deep section.

It seems like the value of artificial reefs is being recognized. Orange Beach is a nice place and you can almost see Florida from there LOL. This will give Florida Panhandle divers another option.

We got a report today that the Castor wreck off Boynton Beach has been affected by hurricane Sandy. The stern section has been turned on it’s starboard side.
