Florida Dive Connection Video of Grand Traverse Cave Dive at Peacock.

The Florida Dive Connection Team brings you video of a cave dive in North Florida

On February 2, 2013 divers Gene Page, Tim Thomas, and Richard Black completed the Grand Traverse at Wes Skiles Peacock Springs State Park near Luraville, Florida. According to Cave Atlas it is almost 4,700 feet of swimming in a water filled cave system.

The divers entered at Orange Grove Sink and made their way to Challenge Sink where they surfaced for a few minutes before continuing the dive. The dive time was just under an hour. For the second leg they submerged again and made their way to Olsen Sink where a Florida Dive Connection photographer was waiting.

Another brief stop was made at Olsen sink and the divers then made their way to Peacock 1 by way of the Olsen tunnel and exited after a dive totaling over two hours.
